RANDY CARTER
Randy Carter is a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. He laughs loudly, feels deeply and loves people. Randy has been involved in youth ministry since 1979 and believes youth ministry is the most important ministry in the church. He regularly says, “I don’t know why anyone would choose to work with big people when they could work with students!” Randy’s not afraid to share authentically and engage in the messiness of people’s lives. He’s frequently sought out as a speaker, mentor and youth ministry specialist. His laugh-out-loud humour and tell-it-like-it-is approach to truth penetrates the heart and inspires life change.

MARCEL KURTZ
Marcel Kurtz has served in full-time ministry for 29 years, with 25 of those years at Lynn Valley Full Gospel Church. He is a graduate of Eston College and CREAT leadership. He is passionate about teaching God’s Word, believing that Scripture is the primary way God reveals Himself to us. His approach involves deep biblical study, unpacking culture, and helping us understand who God is—which, in turn, transforms how we live.
Over those 29 years Marcel has led many short-term mission trips, providing opportunities to serve and grow in faith while impacting communities around the world. He has also traveled to Israel three times, where he enjoys exploring historical and biblical sites. A lifelong learner, he loves discovering new things about health, Scripture, and history—especially World War II history and movies.
At home, he enjoys life with his wife, Kristina, his two sons, Austin and Jordan, his daughter-in-law, Kiera, and his granddaughter, Aesha. When he’s not studying or teaching, you can find him lifting weights at the gym, embracing the discipline and challenge of physical fitness.
Marcel is excited about speaking at Kedleston camp this year, seeing it as a unique opportunity to build on the profound message of scripture over five consecutive days, helping to encounter God’s truth in a fresh and transformative way.
