STAFF

STAFF AT KEDLESTON

Kedleston Camp relies heavily each year on enthusiastic individuals who are willing to dedicate part of their summer to serve the kids, teens, families, and seniors who come to camp.  Working at KGC is so much more then just a summer job - it will stretch you, challenge you, and help you discover new things about yourself.  But ultimately, it will provide you with a unique opportunity to be used by God to pour into the lives of the campers and watch Him work through you to change lives!

Kedleston's history shows us that time spent here can have a life-long impact on those who come and experience God's love through the staff and variety of experiences provided at camp.  So, if you love Jesus and have a passion to serve Him while helping others in their faith journey, please consider applying for one of our many positions at KGC.

BECOME A SUMMER STAFF MEMBER

We are recruiting for a number of term positions which are expected to be from May 5 to approximately September 12.  Employees hired for these positions will have housing provided and, when camps are operating, meals are also provided.

One particularly crucial and unique role that we are looking to fill is the Maintenance Lead.  The lead maintenance person is responsible for the safe operation of our facilities, backed by a solid team of people that are very familiar with the facilities.  Day to day duties include minor plumbing repairs, painting, building repairs, water testing, and, as needed, coordination of external trades.  Practical experience in property maintenance as asset.  Ability to work in harmony with a team and adherence to the staff code of conduct is required.

We are also looking for Custodial Staff.  Custodians play a vital part in camp functioning well.  They are responsible for the cleaning of washrooms, common areas, and accommodations.   Practical experience in previous custodial roles an asset.  Ability to work in harmony with a team and adherence to the staff code of conduct is required.

STAFF APPLICATION PROCESS

Staff are selected through an application process including reference and police checks.  Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age. (Highschool students must successfully complete the Sr LIT program and associated weeks of volunteer service prior to applying for a staff position.)  Once hired, staff are required to attend staff training in the first week of July.  Each staff member is also evaluated throughout their commitment at camp by way of ongoing performance reviews.

If you have have any questions regarding this process or require clarification on any of the positions, please feel free to contact us.
