75TH HOMECOMING & FAQ

What are the dates of the Kedleston Gospel Camp (KGC) Homecoming Events?

Sunday June 21, during Seniors Camp

Sunday July 19, during Family Camp 1

Sunday August 2, during Family Camp 2

 

 

What is the difference between the three Homecoming events?

The first Homecoming event on June 19 is during Seniors Camp. The activities on this day will be geared towards this camp and will include nostalgic events and activities such as tours of the camp by boat and golf cart, time capsule opening, special video presentations, and more!

 

The Homecoming events on July 19 and August 2 during the Family Camps will have all the usual amazing camp activities PLUS exciting new features and activities like inflatable bouncers, mini donuts, cotton candy, slushie machines, face painting, photo memory wall, photo scavenger hunt, new giant picture frame photo op spot, nostalgic video presentations, an amazing fireworks show and LOTS more!   


 

When/how can I register?

Registration opens February 1st. 

Register online in the same way that you would register for a Family Camp. 


 

Is there a cost to attend?

Yes.

Early Bird until June 1

Families: $60 

Individuals: $25

 

After June 1

Families: $80

Individuals: $30

 

 

Is there an Early Bird deadline?

Yes June 1 is the deadline for discounted pricing.


 

Do I have to pay extra for the Homecoming events if I am already registered for camp that week?

No. Homecoming events are included with your registration.

 

What meals do I get with a Homecoming Day Tripper Pass?

Lunch, supper, & mug-up



 

Can I attend more than one event?

Yes. If you’d like to attend more than one Homecoming event, simply register for each event you’d like to attend.


 

What is the schedule of events?

8:00am-9:00am Breakfast

10:00am-12:00pm Service/75th Homecoming Video Presentation

12:00pm-1:00pm Lunch

1:30pm-3:00pm  "Tea, Tours, and Treasures"

3:00pm Time capsule opening

3:15pm "Down Memory Lane" - Tab Time

5:30pm-6:30pm Supper

7:00pm – 9:00pm Service

9:00pm  Mug Up
 

Sunday July 19 & Sunday August 2

8:00am - 9:00am Breakfast

9:30am - 11:30am Service/75th Homecoming Video Presentation

11:30am - 1:30pm Lunch

1:00pm - 4:30pm Activities: regular camp activities PLUS inflatable bouncers, mini donuts, cotton candy, & slushie machines, face painting, photo memory wall, photo scavenger hunt, new photo op spot, and LOTS more!   

4:30pm - 5:45pm Supper

5:30pm - 6:30pm Jacob's Ladder

6:30pm - 6:45pm Time capsule opening

What if it rains? 

Rain or shine we’re celebrating Kedleston’s 75th Homecoming! Activities will be modified to accommodate inclement weather if necessary.


 

Can I transfer my Homecoming Day Tripper pass if I can’t attend?

At this time KGC Homecoming day passes cannot be transferred between individuals or events.

 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks & drinks. 

 

Can I bring my RV?

Yes, but you must be registered for Family Camp to bring an RV. 


 

Can I bring my dog?

No. The camp has a no pets policy. 

 

 

Can I bring my bike?

Yes. Bikes are also available as a part of camp activities.


 

I have really old photos – where can I send them?

Scan your photos and email them to:

Are you Accessible?

Yes. The Big Tab, washrooms, and dining hall via the kitchen are all accessible.


 

Where are the washrooms?

Washrooms are located next to Elim Lodge, by Hillcrest cabins, by Sunrise dorms, and by the boat dock on the beach.  Porta potties will be located at Jacobs Ladder.


 

What should I wear?

Plan for a day of outdoor activities at camp including boating, Jacob’s Ladder, and lots more. Proper footwear is required for Jacob’s ladder, biking, and certain other activities. Check the forecast and plan your wardrobe accordingly.
